Red Stag

Painted as part of my contribution to Art Pistol Gallery's 2015 Grad Show in Glasgow I chose to paint animals native to Scotland. The majestic red deer spends its summer months in Scotland’s hills and remote glens. Their hide is a dark reddish crown and is Britain’s largest land mammal.
